Idea

The client owned an Agrotech business that lends short-term loans to farmers. They wanted to digitize their complete process with the help of a digital system that includes a tablet application and web based management application the whole process can become more robust.

The application would answer the market gap of lack of availability for short term loans for farmers along with easy lending and repayment process for them. This would not only help the farmers in receiving easier credits but also assist them with effective repayment without any hidden costs.

Expectations

The client needed an Android tablet application that would help their designated feild agents in verifying farmer’s personal and banking details, loan application and repayments effectively. The android tablet application will be distributed to agents so that they can exclusively use it to register themselves and get started. The app would sport easy to manage dashboard for field agents so that they can view information regarding EMIs, loan requests, repayments etc. and web based management application for admins in processing loans and managing them effectively.

Process

Our team worked on a fixed project model to help the client implement their idea. The development team included an android developer, UI/UX expert, QA engineer, and project manager. The project was developed on the agile development model which ensured a smooth development process and rapid delivery as well.

To ensure that the solution aligns with the client’s business needs our team provided regular updates and worked on a feedback oriented development process. We used Bootstrap for the frontend and PHP for the backend to create an efficient web app for the client and we incorporated Kotlin for creating the android tablet application.

Deliverables

Agent Module

To help agents in registering themselves instantly and get started we created an easy to use and efficient agent module. With this, the agents would be able to instantly register themselves, and verify loan applications, and loan repayments. The agent module sports features such as:

  • OTP based login and sign up for agent -Instant ID verification through Aadhar and bank account details.
  • User registration and submission for verification and loan distribution.
  • Repayment data and schedule tracking system for regulating loan repayments from the farmers

Member Module

To assist agents and the clients in keeping a track of farmers who borrowed money and are paying EMIs, we created a member module. This allows agents to create separate member entries for each farmer along with farming details so that the agent can help them with the right loan schemes and EMI payment options with ease.

Admin Module

The admin module allows the client to keep a track of every farmer, agent, and overall turnover. With this, they can not only verify ad distribute the loan amount but can also keep a track of the overall turnover and agent’s performance. It has features such as:

  • Dedicated admin module dashboard that allows admin to look into the overall data.
  • Secure login and sign up for easy digital access.
  • Farmer Verification requests review and confirmation feature.
  • EMI payment details view and regularization feature

Secure Repayment Setup

At Terasol we worked on setting up an efficient ad secure loan repayment feature. In this, for repayment the agent will have to enter the farmer’s details once they have logged in the app would generate a secure payment link through which the farmers can easily repay their EMIs. After a successful transaction the system would automatically generate a confirmation message and send it to the farmer’s registered mobile number
